LET’S GET SPORTY INVOLVED IN FIRST CAN DO PROJECT IN D&G

GREAT TO BE PART OF SUCH A FANTASTIC PROJECT.

Let's Get Sporty would like to congratulate all the students at St Joseph's College Dumfries for doing so well and heavily contributing towards a fantastic community project organised by Can Do volunteering.

The aim of the project was for the students to firstly learn a skill in Basketball, secondly learn how to deliver that skill to a group, and thirdly visit Cargenbridge Primary School and deliver a session to a group of primary 5 children.

Mentor Dayne Moore, who worked with the students at St Josephs College commented:

"Everyone done so well. The most pleasing thing was to see how much they enjoyed it and from that how much confidence they gained. It was great for them as well to be actively contributing to something within our community. Also a well done to Olivia from the Can Do team for organising and coordinating this project."

Big thank you to Oliver Mundell MSP for turning up and presenting the students with certificates.
